Mixtape: Twisted

Do these weekly-ish mixtapes satisfy y'all's cravings for Viking's Choice? I stepped away from essays and short album reviews because 2023 has been challenging, to put it lightly. But I have missed writing about psychedelic black metal, twee pop and all manner of loud, obscure and weird with regularity — basically, the stuff that's too fringe for my day job at NPR. So my question is an honest one: Do the mixtapes suffice? Does the BNDCMPR playlist tool work for y'all? (No, I'm not switching to Spotify or the like.) Would y'all take less mixtapes for more musings on music?
As it happens, today is Bandcamp Friday. I'll reserve my opinions on the latest Bandcamp drama (the acquisition by Songtradr and its subsequent layoffs) for folks IRL. So if you like something from this mixtape, click the buy button to support the artist. —Lars Gotrich
